Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s healthcare facility in Cypress, TX 77433. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Duration: 3-month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)
Schedule: 7-6 with a rotating day off through week (4 days a week).

Pay rate: $20 - $23/hr. On W2.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Responsibilities:

1. Room and triage patients; obtain vital signs and medical histories.
2. Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
3. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and injections.
4. Document patient information in EMR/EHR systems.
5. Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and obtain prior authorizations.
6. Educate patients and maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control compliance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Graduated from Medical Assistant program, Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA) (certification is required).
• Current, BLS Certification.
• Epic is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is needed.
