    Job Title: Medical Assistant
    Location: Harrodsburg, KY 40330
    Shift: Tuesday & Wednesday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Duration: 22 Weeks (with possible extension)


    Position Summary

    The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both front-office and back-office clinical operations. This role includes patient interaction, administrative coordination, and clinical assistance in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Success in this position requires strong collaboration with the healthcare team and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience.
    • Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls.
    • Take and record patient vital signs accurately.
    • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
    • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures as needed.
    • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
    • Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
    • Provide both front-office and back-office support as required.
    • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship).
    • Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
    • Current BLS or CPR certification.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Medical Assistant Certification.
    • Occupational Health experience.
    • Experience working in environments focused on health education and outreach.
