Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant positionto support our clients in the medical facility. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
 

Medical Assistant
Location: Oakhurst, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday 
7:45 AM – 4:45 PM
(Shift times may vary based on office hours)
Hours/week - 40 hrs/ week 
Pay -$21 to $23/ hr on W2 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) as ordered.
  • Assist providers with patient flow and clinical procedures.
  • Manage in-basket messaging and electronic communication within the EMR system.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Process faxes, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care.
  • Support efficient clinic operations while maintaining excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, infection control standards, and office policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
Previous outpatient or clinical office experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional and patient-centered demeanor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
Prior experience with prior authorizations and clinical administrative duties
Knowledge of EKGs and POCT procedures
