Medical Assistant - Clinic

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Kissimmee, FL 34741. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Job title: Medical Assistant
• Location: Kissimmee, FL 34741
• Duration: Contract
• Pay: $20 - $23. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
• Shift: 8am - 5pm.

Specific Duties:

• Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination.
• Record patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
• Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect.
• Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stock and clean rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Practices standard infection control precautions.
• Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
• Provide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS Measures.
• Experience in referral authorizations, DME's requests for patients.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience required.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or RMA.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
•  Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
