Medical Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. You will work at UW Health Charles Street Clinic 2404 Charles St.

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT) to:

Perform a variety of patient care duties including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, EKG's, medication reconciliation, specimen collections. Under the authority and delegation of a physician may perform certain other tasks or duties. Alerts provider/nurse of emergent patient needs.

Prepares patients for examination, treatment and procedures.

Provide quality care in a compassionate environment where teamwork is highly valued, and exceptionalism and innovation are encouraged.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Bi-Annual CPR certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
