We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bilingual (Armenian/English) Medical Assistant to join our team in the Healthcare industry. This unique role is an exciting opportunity to provide critical support in a high-paced environment, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver superior patient care.

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including patient intake, administering injections, and providing valuable consultation services to our diverse patient population. This role requires a unique combination of medical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding when communicating with patients.
  • Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers while adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, acting as an advocate for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including notes on consultations, medications, and any procedures performed.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to patients, explaining medical procedures, and answering any questions they may have.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Use language skills to provide fluent communication between English and Armenian speaking patients, their families, and healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Fluency in Armenian and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Proficiency in administering injections and conducting patient intake.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and safety/hygiene protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to all confidentiality regulations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program is required.
  • Current certification in CPR or a commitment to obtain certification within a specified timeframe after hiring.
