Job Summary
Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.
Job Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care under direction of provider, including but not limited to: vitals, allergy & medication reconciliation, screenings, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives, virtual health, and language iTi.
Provides indirect patient care related to the Medical Assistant scope of education, including but not limited to: scheduling, work queues/worklists, check in/check out, referrals, in-basket, scanning, chart prep, non-clinical patient result callbacks, prior authorizations, transportation facilitation.
Conducts point of care testing including quality control & documentation including but not limited to: EKG, A1C, urinalysis, hemoglobin, urine tox, INR, and HcG.
Performs administrative duties and covers front desk based on business needs.
Floats to other offices based on business needs.
Performs other related duties as required.
