Job Description: Certified Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast‑paced outpatient medical office. This role is essential to ensuring efficient daily operations while delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
You will work closely with providers and patients, supporting a wide range of activities related to patient care, communication, and administrative coordination. Accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to general patient questions regarding medical information
- Answer, screen, and return phone calls in a timely and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments
- Scan and upload documents into the electronic health record (EHR) system, Knowledge of CareCloud a plus
- Manage emails and assigned tasks within the EHR system
- Assist clinical staff with patient rooming and intake procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Strong knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Experience working within an electronic health record (EHR) system
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong customer service mindset with social perceptiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Preferred experience in prior authorizations in procedure, surgery and medications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new clinical software systems
- Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
