    Description

    Medical Assistant/Telephone Triage 

    Suburban Endocrinology and Diabetes Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. If you are passionate about patient care and enjoy working in a fast-paced specialty practice, we'd love to hear from you!

    Position Summary/ Responsibilities: 

    • Assist physicians and providers during patient visits.

    • Process prescription refill requests.

    • Complete medication prior authorizations.

    • Answer incoming patient phone calls and return patient messages promptly.

    • Coordinate and order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.

    • Educate and train patients on Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices.

    • Administer injections as directed by providers.

    • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred).

    • Coordinate with pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers.

    • Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment.

    • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.

    Qualifications

    • Medical Assistant certification preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).

    • Previous experience in an endocrinology or primary care practice is a plus.

    • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records is preferred.

    • Knowledge of diabetes management, insulin therapy, and CGM devices is an advantage (training provided).

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
