The Adjunct Faculty Medical Assistant will work closely with the Coordinator to teach courses in the MAS program. Must demonstrate teaching skills by selecting and implementing instructional strategies for teaching, and assessing student achievement of the learning objectives of the program. Teaching experience MAS; Teaching faculty will:
- Meet with courses and laboratories at scheduled times.
- Instruct, advise, consult with and evaluate the performance of enrolled students.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, course reference/bibliography, assignments, tests, and other course materials.
- Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and/or other documentation as required.
- Minimum of an AAS degree.
- Must be credentialed in medical assisting by a credentialing organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
- Must have a minimum of 3 years in healthcare.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three 3-5 years' experience in teaching on a college level and affiliated with an accredited MAS program. Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula on a program and course level. Excellent technology and classroom management skills.
STATUS/SALARY:
This is a regular adjunct faculty position with salary to be determined by the adjunct faculty union contract.
