What Youll Do:
- Take and record accurate vital signs for clients
- Manage medication documentation via Medline and handle prior authorizations efficiently
- Schedule and coordinate psychiatry appointments to ensure seamless patient care
- Assist with administrative and clinical tasks to support the healthcare team
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, especially Medline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience handling prior authorizations and medical billing processes
- Knowledge of psychiatric healthcare workflows
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Certifications such as CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical assisting preferred
- At least 1-2 years of clinical support experience in a healthcare setting
- Prior experience working with mental health or psychiatric facilities is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional travel if needed
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare protocols
