Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a 13-week outpatient assignment in Pasadena, California. This role will include a blend of Medical Assistant and Patient Service Representative (PSR) responsibilities, supporting both clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
Perform patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
Manage patient check-in/check-out processes
Verify insurance information and maintain accurate patient records
Schedule appointments and coordinate front office activities
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management
Provide excellent customer service and patient support
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of outpatient Medical Assistant experience required
Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program required
BLS Certification required (AHA or ARC only)
High School Diploma or GED required
Epic experience required
Front office experience, including patient check-in and insurance verification, required
