    Job Summary

    The Medical Assistant 2 serves as the first point of contact for patient care and supports both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role involves moderately complex tasks and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties

    • Gather patient symptoms and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
    • Record vital signs
    • Administer injections and perform diagnostic tests
    • Collect specimens and perform blood draws
    • Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment
    • Prepare and maintain examination rooms
    • Deliver patient care within certification scope
    • Collaborate with Physicians and Nurses

    Administrative Duties

    • Perform operational and customer support tasks
    • Handle documentation and communication via systems (e.g., MS Outlook)
    • Perform basic computations and reporting
    • Follow departmental policies and procedures

    Required Qualifications

    • Bilingual (English & Spanish) Mandatory
    • 1 3 years of Medical Assistant experience (back-office/direct patient care)
    • Valid certification/licensure (RMA or CMA)
    • Current CPR certification
    • Less than 2 years of leadership experience
    • Experience in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
    • Basic computer skills (including MS Outlook)
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Must be patient-focused and customer-service oriented


    This is a patient-facing role and part of the TB (Tuberculosis) screening program. Selected candidates must undergo TB screening.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • Hands-on phlebotomy experience
    • Experience with EMR systems
    • Experience with HEDIS
    • Active certification from recognized bodies (AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, AMT)
    • Radiologic Technologist License (ARRT) optional
