Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant II to provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role serves as the first point of contact for patient care and plays a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered services.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume healthcare environment while collaborating closely with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and provide excellent customer service
  • Perform clinical duties including:
    • Taking vital signs
    • Administering injections
    • Performing diagnostic tests
    • Collecting specimens and drawing blood
    • Preparing and maintaining exam rooms
  • Gather and accurately document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Assist physicians and nurses with direct patient care
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and patient communication
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • 1 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical (back-office) setting
  • Active Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working in a high-volume healthcare environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and EMR systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to participate in required health screenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language)
  • Hands-on phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures
  • Additional certifications such as Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
