Med Tech - CNA or LPN

Fountain Valley School, a selective and diverse boarding school, educates 250 students in grades 8–12 on a beautiful 1,100-acre campus in Colorado Springs, CO. Founded in 1930, the School provides a rigorous, global curriculum in academics, arts, athletics, and the outdoors. 

The Opportunity: 

Fountain Valley School seeks experienced and dynamic CNA or LPN. The CNA or LPN reports to the Director of Health Services and will be responsible for the dispensing of medication and care of our students in a college preparatory boarding environment. This person works closely with our health care team consisting of the director, nurses, counselors, physician medical director and athletic trainer.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Medication Administration
• First Aid
• Regular consultation with supervising RN
• Basic Care duties as assigned by RN
• Maintain medical records and state required records
• Accompanying students to medical appointments in a non CDL school vehicle
• Patient and staff education
• Regular and reliable in person attendance
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• Licensed CNA or LPN
• High School Diploma required
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/FA and AED certification required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or obtain a Colorado license within 30 days of hire.  

Working Conditions: 

• Environment: indoors and outdoors working with students in 8-12 grade
• Physical Demands: able to do a combination of sit, stand and lift up to 40 lbs for at least 8 - 12 hours per day; occasional after hours, weekend and/ or weeknight obligations.
• Working Relationships: students, parents, outside vendors and all other employees.

Salary: 19.00 per hour
