Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience: - Min 1 year recent med surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds. - Travel experience including successful completion.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with neuro patients preferred, but not required.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. - Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date. - Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility; candidates living 60 to 80 miles away are considered local.
Unit Details: - Uses Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps. - Locals 60 miles or less are not accepted
Shift & Scheduling: - 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday. - Scheduling may rotate based on unit needs; they may work 3 weeks days then 3 weeks nights in one schedule cycle, and the next schedule cycle all days or all nights. - Travelers can self-schedule, but only the days off listed on the contract are guaranteed; self-scheduled shifts may be moved during schedule balancing.
Floating Requirements: - Primary unit will be 6AB, but will be expected to float to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
