PAY:According to the Union Contract based on experience MLT wage range $33.90- $53.76
Medical laboratory Scientist wage range $38.31- $66.35, DOE, EOE

SHIFT:Full Time Night Shift 3-12 hour shifts Friday-Sunday, with holidays, and call- Shift/days may change
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Has a professional responsibility for planning, performing, evaluating and reporting CLIA ’88 waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing. This includes pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical function; performing the day-to-day work of MLT/MLS to include performing quality control and quality assurance; instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; monitoring supply inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with health care providers, patients, and other hospital personnel.
Minimum of an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree preferred with training to include the completion of a certified MLT/MLS program. MLT/MLS certification by ASCP, AMT, AABB or equivalent organization required. Minimum of 3 years Generalist experience in a hospital laboratory including Blood Banking and phlebotomy preferred. Must be able to work independently. MA-P phlebotomy license required within 6 months of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May have to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Walking or standing to a significant degree.
Requires reaching, handling, fingering and feeling, extending arms and hands.
Work Environment:
Subject to inside environmental conditions. Duties and responsibilities are performed in the laboratory, emergency department, patient rooms and other areas of the hospital. Position requires exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids, and hazardous chemicals in reagents; operation of moving mechanical equipment; the use of sharps for obtaining specimens; and other related tasks.
