Where you’ll work

Remote across the U.S., visiting customer facilities. Expect industrial environments (indoor), variable temperatures and noise, and occasional nationwide or international trips. Travel and driving will be via personal vehicle or company-approved rental; mileage or rental costs are reimbursed per policy.

Impact you’ll make

• Diagnose, service, and repair Mitsubishi laser cutting systems—mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, and controls.
• Execute thorough inspections: dismantle, rebuild, adjust, and align to spec.
• Provide remote phone support to reduce downtime when appropriate.
• Translate schematics, wiring, and block diagrams into decisive action.
• Communicate clearly with customers on scope, timing, and outcomes.
• Capture detailed service notes and submit accurate expenses on time.
• Maintain company tools, test equipment, and vehicles in top condition.
• Pitch in on additional tasks that elevate customer satisfaction and team results.

What you’ll need

• Experience in machining, manufacturing processes, or industrial equipment service.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and precision tools: multimeters/voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.
• Comfort with Windows PCs and service applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Comfort working at heights as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel extensively Monday–Friday; occasional overtime.

Preferred qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification (electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, etc.).
• Demonstrated strength in electrical/mechanical fault isolation and resolution.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on use of electrical test gear (e.g., voltmeter, oscilloscope).
• Use of indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges, and related precision instruments.

Physical expectations

• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, standing, and hand-intensive tasks.
• Lift/carry up to 20 lbs. regularly; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 50 lbs.; heavier loads may use carts or mechanical aids.
• Good visual acuity, including color recognition.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
