Imagine This
A conveyor stops mid-run. You assess, isolate the fault, and bring it back online—fast. Later, you help commission a new piece of equipment, fine-tune a VFD, and document the day’s wins before heading out. That’s impact.
Your Responsibilities
- Own preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and corrective repairs across production machinery and facility systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC domains.
- Respond to breakdowns and urgent maintenance calls with urgency and care.
- Keep complete, accurate records: work orders, equipment history, and PM documentation.
- Contribute to equipment installations, modifications, testing, and startups.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to drive reliability and performance.
- Advance continuous improvement by proposing and executing process enhancements.
- Assist with shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects as needed.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean workspace.
- Adhere to safety, food safety, quality, and environmental procedures at all times.
What It Takes
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, food production, or comparable environments.
- Proven mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting capability.
- Working familiarity with mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Comfortable using hand/power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Independent contributor who collaborates well; organized and solutions-focused.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Background
- Technical schooling, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or related fields.
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls.
- Skilled trade certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Welding, etc.).
- Food manufacturing exposure and understanding of GMPs.
Physical Demands & Environment
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb throughout the shift.
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces.
- Wear required PPE consistently.
