Job Title: Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer
Location: Pelzer, SC
Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer with expertise in thermal system design, HVAC, and ventilation for modular data centers and industrial/telecom modules. The ideal candidate will support end-to-end mechanical design activities, thermal analysis, and coordination using Autodesk or equivalent 3D modeling tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design thermal, HVAC, and ventilation systems for modular data centers and industrial modules
- Develop mechanical layouts, ductwork, cable management, and fire suppression designs
- Perform thermal calculations and basic CFD analysis to optimize system performance
- Review and approve mechanical submittals and technical documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams during project execution
- Create and maintain design documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent 3D modeling tools
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in thermal/mechanical design engineering
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, and thermal system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D modeling software
- Basic CAD and 3D modeling experience required
- Experience with thermal calculations and CFD analysis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
