CNC Programmer

• CNC Programmer to support Tooling, Machining, and Grinding departments at Amarillo, TX facility
TYPICAL DUTIES
• Program 3 axis mills, lathes, and auto grinders
• Determine most efficient and effective ways parts will be set up in machines (which holding fixtures, vises, jigs, etc. would be needed)
• Write and develop programs that are optimized for production needs
• Troubleshoot programs and machine issues
• Prove programs with at least 50 parts before releasing to production
• Create detailed set-up sheets and first article inspection documents
• Work with tooling and machining teams do further develop CNC programs and transfer knowledge among the department
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) is required
• The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required
• Proficient in G and M-Code
• Experience working with CNC machines, proving programs, and machine troubleshooting
• Experience working with Haas Mills, Okuma and Howa lathes, and DMG Mori Lathes
• Experience reading engineering drawings and verifying part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gages and other precision measurement tools
• Experience manually inputting and adjusting G and M codes on physical CNC machines
• Working knowledge of tolerances and issues associated with tolerance stack
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years of machining experience
• Program using Mastercam or an equivalent CAM software
• Working knowledge of Solidworks
• Experience programming for high volume production
• Experience with Fanuc control panels
• Experience with Haas Mill Next Generation control
• Experience with Fanuc robot programming and vision inspection systems
• Experience programming and operating a 5-axis mill
