Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support equipment maintenance and ensure the timely delivery of equipment to meet operational demands.
Job Description
- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Document equipment movements, labor hours, parts usage, maintenance history, and repair activities within maintenance management systems.
- Ensure compliance with established maintenance standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Support on-time equipment readiness to meet operational and production schedules.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime, improving asset turnaround time, and increasing maintenance efficiency.
- Assist with projects aimed at reducing maintenance costs, including the repair and reuse of serviceable parts.
- Support efforts to improve technician productivity and overall maintenance performance.
- Participate in equipment failure investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with all required training, competency, and safety standards.
Skills Required
- Mechanical aptitude with experience performing equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, maintenance procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional requirements
Pay rate
- $18 - $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
