Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
3-7+ years in mechanical design (ideally equipment, machinery, or automation)
Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
Experience with pneumatics and compressed air systems
Experience with precision components and tight tolerances
Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, finishing, etc.)
Ability to perform tolerance analysis and FEA (for stress, vibration, wear)
Experience with product development and NPI (New Product Introduction)
Experience collaborating with electrical/controls engineers on automated systems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot performance issues
Experience in equipment, machinery, or automation industries preferred
Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical assemblies for micro-blasting systems including nozzles, pressure vessels, cabinets, and fixtures, and create detailed CAD models and drawings
Develop compressed air delivery systems, abrasive flow control, and pressure regulation, and size components such as valves, regulators, tubing, and filtration systems
Take concepts from prototype through production release and support testing, validation, and performance optimization
Collaborate with electrical/controls engineers on automated systems and integrate motion systems (XYZ stages, robotics, or CNC-style positioning)
Perform tolerance analysis, FEA, troubleshoot performance issues, and generate BOMs, work instructions, and engineering documentation
