With a focus on client requirements, we offer BIM capabilities, design-build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC systems, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations.Job SummaryUniversity Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Mechanical Senior Project Manager located in the Anaheim, CA area.PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEProven project management skills with a minimum of 10 years' experience as a project manager with full mechanical contracting or related construction firms.Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial related projects.Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design‑assist experience.Proven experience in management of healthcare, data center, laboratory, higher education and semiconductor projects with contract values ranging from $15M to $200M.Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred.Experience working with job sites in healthcare preferred.Computer SkillsMicrosoft Project, Microsoft Office, ViewpointEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Safety oversight of UMEC field personnel assigned to projects.Preconstruction, design‑assist, field labor productivity, quality assurance, coordination, and project financial management.Material and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management.Directing and overseeing the work activities of direct reports.Compliance with all company operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.Required AttributesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment.Business math proficiency.Capability to work with minimal supervision.Effective time and detail management.Interpretation of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Compliance with operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.Collaborative communication with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers.QualificationsThe individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
