Summary - Mechanical Quality Control Inspector
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
- Performs detailed first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of precision-machined parts
- Utilize methods to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
- Analyze data and results to provide detailed reports on product quality
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain documentation of all quality control/ISO operating procedures in accordance with ISO requirements
- Responsible for calibrating measuring tools and inspection equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' quality control experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Strong analytical skills to effectively inspection results
- Prior experience using equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator
- Knowledge of QA/QC and ISO 9001 standards
- Strong knowledge of GD&T required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections
- Must have a strong aptitude in mechanical design and engineering.
- Must be very detail oriented.
- Strong math skills.
- Has a strong background with workplace safety, OSHA regulations and quality control techniques.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with employees of varying education levels.
- CMM Operations OR vision system inspection experience preferred
- CMM programming or vision system inspection programming a Plus
Salary Range: $65,000-80,000/year
