Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and sound technical judgment. The role involves the installation and maintenance of production equipment, requiring technical and engineering support for design, improvement, procurement, and troubleshooting of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with the Plant Engineering Manager and other departments to determine mechanical maintenance needs for all plant facilities.
• Maintain effective and harmonious relationships with all departments, providing prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and authorization requests for management evaluation.
• Design, test, and install new and improved mechanical equipment to enhance the efficiency and performance of plant production processes.
• Attend departmental, production, and general safety meetings, providing input and leadership in the development of safety policies and procedures.
• Lead by example and follow all applicable rules and regulations.
• Use AutoCAD and MicroStation to create and modify drawings.
• Design, prepare specifications and drawings, coordinate installation, and prepare operational and preventative maintenance documentation for assigned capital projects and plant improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and timelines for assigned jobs and projects.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned equipment.
• Work with internal customers to meet or exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with vendors to improve equipment reliability and explore lower cost alternatives.
• Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure jobs/projects are assigned to maintenance or contractors as needed to meet deadlines.
• Assist in other tasks as assigned.
• Make recommendations and decisions on the selection of equipment for new installations and modifications to existing equipment.
• Analyze performance KPIs to identify areas of success or improvement, and report findings to management.
• Maintain plotting and printing equipment for large size prints at the facility, including initial troubleshooting.
• Lead non-electrical projects to maintain or improve different systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 or more years of experience in the field.
