We are conducting a confidential search for a Mechanical / Piping Designer to support industrial projects based out of Birmingham, Alabama. This role will focus on piping layouts, equipment arrangement, and drawing package development for heavy industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, equipment arrangements, and design packages
- Develop and revise drawings based on engineering input and field conditions
- Support piping routing, tie-ins, and multidisciplinary coordination
- Assist with drawing production and model updates
- Help develop construction-ready documentation
Qualifications
- 5–20 years of mechanical and/or piping design experience
- Industrial design experience preferred
- Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D or similar design software
- Strong understanding of piping layouts and industrial drawing packages
- Ability to support fast-paced project environments
