JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
JOB SUMMARY: FULL TIME
Mechanical maintenance technician ensures industrial machinery and facility equipment operates efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and executing repairs. They work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, using hand/power tools to minimize downtime. Key duties include inspecting equipment, replacing parts, and following safety protocols
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL TASKS
· Preventative Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections, lubrication, and cleaning of machinery to prevent breakdowns.
· Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing mechanical malfunctions and repairing or replacing defective parts (e.g., pumps, motors, valves).
· Installation & Setup: Installing new equipment and adjusting machinery settings for optimal performance.
· Safety Compliance: Adhering to OSHA and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
· Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
DESCRIPTION OF NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS
· Keep work area clean work of garbage and waste fish.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TP PERFORM POSITION
· Education: High school diploma or GED; technical school training or apprenticeship is preferred.
· Must be 18 years of age
· Must have proper identification and SSN
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND PROTECTIVE GEAR
Will work with hand tools, forklifts, processing machinery, gloves, boots, hair/beard nets, and ear protection.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Exposed to all indoor weather temperatures.
WORK PATTERN
Normal work hours will be 8 hours per day 5 days per week. During peak season may work up to 12 hour shifts and up to 7 days per week.
