Job Title: Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer/Project Manager

Encotech Engineering Consultants founded in 1990 provides high quality mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural engineering and design services. Our company has undergone dramatic changes in the last few years and are looking for new, motivated engineers to join our team.

Encotech is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with engineering and design experience in the following types of facilities: Commercial, Industrial, Governmental, Institutional, Infrastructure, Health Care, Educational and Recreational Buildings.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in State of Texas or capable of being registered in Texas.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum five years of Mechanical/HVAC and design services and project management experience as a Professional Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiar with mechanical codes, standards and guidelines
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices in mechanical technologies, products and services
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledgeable with LEED process
  • Team Player with Positive Attitude
  • Polished/Professional Demeanor
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Works well under pressure
  • Works well as a team member, providing support and coordination with team
  • Excellent communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Report directly to the VP of MEP Department
  • Capable of Supervising Teams/Employees
  • Capable of performing mechanical load analysis, system selection, equipment selection, and monitoring of construction drawing production
  • Involved with review of RFI’s, submittals, and construction site visits during the construction phase
  • Take part in training of the EIT engineers and designers
  • Provide high quality proactive project management services to the client
  • Responsible for scheduling / monitoring project budgeted hours, on time delivery of deliverables, and developing a professional relationship with the client
  • Organize and maintain project documentation from start to completion
  • Communicate & coordinate effectively and professionally with project managers, internal staff, and contractors
