    Mechanical Engineer
    Location: Trenton, SC 29847 (Onsite)
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    The Mechanical Engineer will work on mechanical problems of moderate scope, supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is focused on plant support, maintenance collaboration, and process optimization — not a design-focused engineering role.
    The engineer will assist with projects, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements within the facility.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Support mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
    • Assist in planning, development, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime
    • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives across production processes
    • Work with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to execute projects
    • Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements
    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
    • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
    Must-Have Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
    • 2+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
    • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
    • Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude
    Required Skills
    • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in production environments
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance operations
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
    Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Experience managing contractors and maintenance technicians
    • Exposure to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
    Industry Experience
    • Manufacturing / Industrial environment required
    • Experience with production processes and equipment maintenance preferred
    Education
    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
    Additional Notes
    • This is NOT a design engineering role
    • Position is focused on plant operations, maintenance, and process improvement
    • Ideal candidate will be hands-on and comfortable working on the production floor
