Mechanical Engineer

Our Nuclear Programs and Consulting group has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters within nuclear operations and engineering. The work will be performed in Oak Ridge TN with potentially some travel. Join us and love what you do. Qualifications

• Required: Minimum Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
• Demonstrate experience of delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and within the client organization
• Sole USA Citizenship is required. No Dual citizens or visas for this role to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations
• Preferred Qualifications:
• PE license preferred
• NQA-1 experience
• Competent using discipline-specific technical software such as REVIT, Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, PipeFlo, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, etc.
• Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a Q"
• Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce a consolidate design
• Previous DOE Nuclear project experience
• Current or former US security clearance
• A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge TN office
• 5 years of design experience with HVAC

Essential Functions

• Work Environment: Standard office PC with software will be provided
• Equipment and Machines: Building Information Management design software
• Attendance: On-site security training is mandatory before performing project duties
• Timely response to resolve issues is expected
• Travel required - As needed

• Valid drivers license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
• Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation

Compensation Details

• $75,000 - $115,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
