In this role, you will apply buildings mechanical engineering principles and communication skills to deliver project excellence to the communities we live, work, and play in. You will collaborate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural engineers to closely coordinate design solutions and present these to our clients. Our team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a focus in HVAC and Plumbing design.
You will work with direct supervision and general direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will assist in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering certain Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) building systems for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and internal engineering standards/practices.
You will work in conjunction with the design team from conceptual design through construction documents on the design of several types of plumbing and industrial waste systems. Specific to the design of these systems, the ideal candidate must be able to design, size, select, schedule, and specify HVAC and plumbing system components and equipment.
You will perform a variety of tasks which may include Revit modeling, preparing design drawings, performing system calculations, ductwork design, piping design, specifying equipment, field survey work, and construction administration.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Apply mechanical engineering skills, experience, and knowledge to the design and oversight of the design, for building projects.
• Acquire assigned workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for mechanical engineering projects.
• Share knowledge with others by serving as a resource.
• Meet technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary, and client service objectives for each project.
• Develop project-related client presentations.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
