Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to provide direct maintenance engineering support for Engine and Axle Assembly Operations. The role requires technical and process ownership to meet both daily and future production demands. The ideal candidate will work closely with line supervisors and the hourly workforce to ensure adherence to work methods and production metrics.Responsibilities+ Provide technical maintenance and mechanical engineering support for engine and axle assembly lines.+ Offer daily troubleshooting assistance for tooling and equipment breakdowns.+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures for existing and future equipment.+ Design and implement tooling for product changes.+ Develop and implement assembly process methods.+ Collaborate with purchasing and vendors to procure equipment.+ Ensure equipment certification, including gages, torque guns, and testers.Essential Skills+ Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.+ Team player with attention to detail.+ Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.+ Experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.+ 2-4 years of relevant experience.+ Ability to understand machine blueprints.+ Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience, OR High School Diploma with 8+ years of professional work experience.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves close collaboration with line supervisors and the hourly workforce. The role requires a hands-on approach in an assembly operations setting, focusing on equipment maintenance and process development.
