Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will perform and lead the design of mechanical and plumbing/piping systems, including selecting equipment, sizing, specifying, and establishing sequences of operation. You will ensure technical accuracy through load calculations and code compliance reviews, lead design peer reviews, and collaborate with Operations on scope definition, cost control, and constructability. Your role will involve developing engineering estimates, scopes of work, and schematic budgets, overseeing the internal commissioning process, and creating or supervising design sketches, models, calculations, and document packages. You will also maintain accurate project documentation throughout the design and coordination phases, support construction and closeout through field walks, punch lists, as-built updates, and client turnover, and mentor other engineers by sharing best practices and identifying development needs.

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily in-office with occasional site tours. The engineering team consists of 10 people, with 6 mechanical and 4 electrical engineers. You will be the second most experienced in the department. Travel is minimal, with possibly one trip per year to a project in a surrounding state. The typical workweek is 40-45 hours.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
