Overview An employer is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX to assist with immediate hands-on evaluations of humanoid robots. The role involves advancing and redesigning the humanoid robot through enhancements of the rigging system. This position is onsite 5 days a week. Pay ranges from $80 - $90/hr.Location: Austin, TXNote: This description retains the original language and reflects the responsibilities and qualifications necessary for the role.Responsibilities Perform hands-on evaluations of humanoid robots on site in Austin, TX.Assist with advancing and redesigning humanoid robots through enhancements of the rigging system.Collaborate with the team on prototyping, verification, and validation activities.Qualifications 5+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally from an industrial background such as automotive or Oil & Gas, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Previous hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer through redesign projects.Hands-on experience with prototyping, verification, and validation testing.Proficiency in mechanical analysis methods, such as stability calculations.Design work with Onshape; Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.Culture and Equal Opportunity We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
