Essential Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical product development or equivalent skill with exposure to air or liquid cooling technologies through coursework, internships, research, or industry
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks
  • Exposure to mechanical design of sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, or electromechanical components
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical datasheets, and specifications
  • Basic understanding of engineering analysis tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Desired

  • Degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
  • Experience with data center hardware, server systems, rack infrastructure, or thermal management solutions

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $95,200-$130,900.

You will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support the development of innovative data center infrastructure and high-density rack solutions
  • Use 3D CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks to design and modify sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, and other mechanical components and assemblies for air- and liquid-cooled systems
  • Assist in the development, prototyping, and testing of mechanical and thermal concepts, evaluating performance, reliability, and manufacturability under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and supplier documentation to support design activities and product development efforts
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and tooling teams to help bring products from concept to production while gaining experience in design, validation, and product lifecycle processes

You will:
