Mechanical EIT/CoordinatorWe are looking for a Mechanical EIT/Coordinator to help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projectsPerform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresWrite and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devicesUtilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selectionsPrepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications, and reportsWork independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projectsSupervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplinesTake responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolutionPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasisEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates hired without EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experienceExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmRequired QualificationsBachelor in Mechanical EngineeringStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustBenefits and CompensationWe provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, employee health, performance, and success, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, a retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonus and tuition reimbursement.
