    Job Title:
    Mechanical Diagnostics Technician

    Job Summary:
    The Development Technician at the Milford Proving Grounds will perform a variety of technical tasks related to vehicle integration, test & validation, development, or instrumentation. The selected candidates will be expected to perform with a high level of technical expertise. Job assignments will vary based on the responsibilities of the development team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Experience in complete vehicle repairs and maintenance is required. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining current service procedures and practices.
    Experience in Vehicle diagnostic procedures according to SI, as well as test drive to verify sound repairs are completed.
    Completes assignments according to work requests, on-time, with high quality.
    Able to collaborate with others outside the work group and work effectively in a team environment.
    Adheres to all Safety standards.
    Actively participates in GMS and BPD initiatives of the team.
    Creates accurate, complete documentation associated with task execution.
    Perform physical tasks common to the position.
    Assists with problem solving and creation of Task Instructions as requested.
    Maintains good housekeeping standards.

    Business Group:
    This position is working 2nd shift for vehicle integration, the team overseas all vehicle programs, responsible for updating and changing out parts/trouble codes, diagnostics, large dealership for developmental vehicles. There is not a lot of service information so the diagnostic information will be based on how well you can navigate a vehicle, use past experience to relate it to now, they work on electric to gas to performance to diesel vehicles.

    Requirements:
    Education: 2-year Technical Degree
    Years of experience: 5-7 years of experience

    Must be flexible with what they work on, exposure to a lot of different programs, comfortable with learning new things
    People that have worked out well in the past - candidates who have experience doing dealership tech they translate well into this team, dealer experience
    Interact with engineering, most interaction is through email and phone calls because this is an off shift, good with documentation is huge (will have a comment box to write what they have done), very detailed

    Preferred Requirements:
    EV experience
    Teams, Slack - familiar with this

    Manager's Top Skills:
    Diagnostic troubleshooting - experience in this vs. only tire shop/oil change is needed
    Computer skills - excel, being able to navigate Microsoft office suite
    At least 5 years' experience

    Work Shift:
    2nd shift - 3:00PM - 11:30PM
    Monday - Friday
    Onsite 5 days, no remote
