The Design Engineer is responsible for creating and managing concepts, sketches, and drawings for paint finishing equipment, utilizing CAD (2D and 3D).
They interpret schematics, apply SMACNA air handling calculations, and develop complete system designs.
Travel to customer sites for field measurements, maintain project schedules, and communicate effectively with teams and clients.
They control documentation, diagnose design issues, and participate in review meetings.
Required skills include an associate degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of SMACNA codes, sheet metal construction, duct sizing, and engineering calculations.
Additional skills in Microstation, Solidworks, BIM, Revit, and Microsoft Office are preferred. Strong math, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently or in a team and adapt to changing environments.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is also expected.
