Job Details

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and improvement of custom machinery, precision components, and manufacturing equipment. This role works closely with engineering, production, and customer-facing teams to create detailed designs that can be efficiently manufactured while meeting performance, quality, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
  • Design custom mechanical systems, machine components, and production equipment.
  • Develop bills of materials (BOMs), layouts, and fabrication documentation.
  • Work with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve product designs and manufacturability.
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and project meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on purchased components and technical specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
  • Ability to create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting custom machinery, industrial equipment, automation systems, or precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
