Description:

The Mechanical Design Specialist is to help the mechanical development of our device. We are looking for a driven and hands-on designer to generate documents and prototypes. This role requires excellence, creativity, and collaboration due to the complex nature of dialysis systems and the medical device regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CAD models in Solidworks
• Generate mechanical drawings with appropriate GD&T
• Create assemblies and maintain bills of materials
• Create engineering change orders
• Prototype and evaluate mechanical designs
• CAD administration including product data management (PDM)
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Extensive CAD experience - Solidworks required
• Familiar with process and data management - PDM/PLM experience required
• Detail oriented, collaborative, and holds high standard of work

Education & Experience:

Required:

• Associate degree in engineering or technology
• Minimum 5 years CAD/PDM/PLM design experience

Preferred:

• 10+ years' experience in mechanical design
• Experience with 3D printing
• Experience in SolidWorks/PDM configuration and administration
• Certified SolidWorks Professional
