The Impact You'll MakeDanfoss Turbocor is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.What You'll Be DoingResponsible for contributing to the development of new platforms to expand the oil‑free centrifugal compressor product portfolio (i.e., dynamic turbo machinery, magnetic bearings, permanent magnet motors and integrated power electronics), from definition of the customer/product requirements to concept validation and product implementation. Duties include: defining requirements and completing implementation for integrated compressor designs; modeling for component and system level designs including 2D detail drawings; analysing component‑level design; working within defined standards to maintain product lifecycle management; collaborating with cross‑functional teams within product development, manufacturing engineering, and procurement groups to ensure manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability; participating in new technology research and development projects; delivering design documentation following project stage gates; supporting certification to ISO9001, ISO14001, UL and CE and ensuring environmental and safety guidelines are applied accordingly.What We're Looking ForBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering5 years experience in mechanical engineering design and development, including 2 years in engineering consultancy5 years experience with CAD and GD&T3 years experience with material selection, manufacturing processes (e.g., additive manufacturing), and assembly methods2 years experience with structural and thermal analysis using finite element analysis (FEA)What You'll Get From UsWe promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.We provide flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.
