OverviewIndustry: Mechanical Construction / Design-Build (HVAC, Plumbing, Piping)About the RoleWe're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex mechanical systems across large-scale commercial and mission-critical projects. This individual will play a key role in bridging engineering design with construction execution, working closely with project managers, BIM/VDC teams, and field operations to deliver high-quality, efficient systems.This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design and real-world application within a fast-paced design-build environment.ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design LeadershipLead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects (data centers, healthcare, etc.)Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizingDevelop construction documents, specifications, and engineering reportsEnsure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirementsProject ExecutionCollaborate with project managers to align engineering deliverables with project schedules and budgetsSupport design-build efforts, including value engineering and constructability reviewsInterface with clients, architects, GCs, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycleProvide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and project closeoutWork closely with BIM/VDC teams to develop coordinated 3D models (Revit/Navisworks)Participate in coordination meetings and resolve clashes across disciplinesMentor junior engineers and support team developmentQuality & InnovationDrive continuous improvement in engineering processes and standardsIdentify opportunities for energy efficiency, sustainability, and system optimizationStay current with emerging technologies in HVAC and mechanical systemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)7–12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within MEP, design-build, or mechanical contracting environmentsStrong experience with HVAC system design (airside and hydronic systems)Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and coordination tools like NavisworksExperience working on large-scale commercial, healthcare, or mission-critical projectsStrong understanding of applicable codes (ASHRAE, IMC, etc.)Excellent communication and project coordination skillsPreferred:PE license (or ability to obtain)Experience in design-build or contractor-led environmentsExposure to fabrication-level detailing or field coordinationWhat You'll GetCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonus401(k) with company matchOpportunities for career growth into technical leadership or project managementExposure to cutting-edge projects (data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare)#J-18808-Ljbffr
