We are dedicated to building a talented workforce with diverse perspectives.AccomplishYou will contribute in the research, design, analysis, manufacture, and testing associated with aircraft Support Equipment.Essential FunctionsMechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment used on military aircraft.Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysis.Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of your project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.Development of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support Equipment.Testing and integration of manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft.Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design as well as basic drafting skills to include a working knowledge of solid modeling techniques (NX, Pro Engineer, or Catia).You should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. You must also be willing to occasionally travel to various site locations to demonstrate the function of the designed Support Equipment.SucceedYou will be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented to help us grow our services, become even better at what we do and will possess the following qualifications.This role may be offered as a Mechanical (Level 2) or Principal Mechanical (Level 3) Design Engineer*Basic Qualifications — Mechanical Design EngineerBachelor's in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of experience in the design of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical subsystems; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of experience.Experience using CAD software in generating detailed engineering drawings used for manufacturing of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.Must have an active DoD Secret or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Basic Qualifications — Principal Mechanical Design EngineerBachelor's in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of experience in the design of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical subsystems; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of experience; OR a PhD AND 1 year of experience.Experience using CAD software in generating detailed engineering drawings used for manufacturing of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.Must have an active DoD Secret or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Preferred Qualifications — All LevelsExperience using FEA software in performance of stress analysis of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies to include static and dynamic analysis to MIL-STD-810 requirements.FAA A&P Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance background.Experience developing manufacturing drawings to GD&T standards.Thrive With UsWe offer flexible work arrangements, learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.Salary and BenefitsPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline and may vary based on the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
