If you highly value creative collaboration, hustle, integrity, faith and generosity, and having fun as a family, then SET Automation could be your door to a thriving and meaningful career.POSITION DUTIESDesign, build, debug, and install custom automation equipmentUnderstand customer requirements and quoted machine concept to define and follow project scope, schedule, and deliverablesPerform sizing calculations as needed and select major off‑the‑shelf automation components, including robots, pneumatics, linear actuators, servo motors, sensors, etc.Design and detail a wide range of custom machined and fabricated components including small machined parts, large plates, sheet metal, and weldmentsCreate mechanical assemblies and layouts using 3D and 2D CAD to fully mechanically design automation cells and aid team members in understanding machine function and assemblyCommunicate and collaborate with electrical and controls engineering team, machine build, panel build, and electricians through project lifecycleCreate and maintain Bill of Materials and other documentation for procurementManage receipt of parts and organize build phase of projectsSize, program, and integrate roboticsAssist with project documentation and machine manualsUnderstand and assure compliance with applicable industry safety standardsLead equipment deployment and support service at customer sites. Some travel is expectedInteract with customers to discuss project schedule and requirements, present designs for review, and provide training and post‑installation supportSupport applications and sales team with concepting and quoting future projectsParticipate in SET Automation best practices for design, processes, and project managementQUALIFICATIONS5+ years of mechanical engineering experienceProficiency in CAD; SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferredUnderstanding of mechanical engineering and machine design principles and GD&TExperience with robotics; Yaskawa and Fanuc preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office suiteExcellent time management and communication skillsTravel flexibility for occasional equipment deployment and service at customer sitesBENEFITSCompetitive salary $85k+ based on experience.Health and dental insurance, vision and life insurance availablePaid time off and holidaysFriendly and collaborative work environmentHow to ApplySERIOUS CANDIDATES ONLY.
