Title: Mechanical Design Engineer III - 2312
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Rate: $60/hour (W2) + Benefits
Hours: 40 hours/week
Project: Nuclear, Reactor Internals Design

Education:
  • Bachelors from accredited universities
  • Mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years experience
Demonstrates expertise in mechanical design for hardware development to support plant modifications and nuclear component design. The role requires experience with development and implementation of FOAK hardware design and documentation.
  • Prepare 3D models, drawings, perform analysis and create specifications to support hardware development
  • Collaborate with the Tooling Team and Analysis Teams to deliver designs that meet our standards for Nuclear Quality and Safety
  • Communicate design to Field Deployment Teams and both Engineering and Project Management on high-level aspects and challenges as well as schedule and progress
  • Perform design reviews to present your design to engineering peers and leadership, obtain and incorporate feedback
  • Provide technical and documentation support throughout the procurement and fabrication process
  • Document the final design to ensure it meets all application and design requirements including Nuclear and ASME Codes and Standards
