As a family‑owned business, Spokane Stainless Technologies values trust, integrity, and excellence, fostering innovation and exceeding customer expectations from its headquarters in Spokane, WA.Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site Mechanical Design Engineer position based in Spokane, WA.SummaryResponsible for design & development of a wide range of stainless‑steel products and to provide technical support to all departments and customers.Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following)Mechanical design of structural stainless‑steel vessels and various support productsCreate prototype designs, build and test as neededPrepare, lead & present at interactive design reviewsCreate accurate 3D modelsCreate BOMs, quotes, drawings, work instructions, specification sheets, reportsIdentify critical dimensions for incoming inspectionUnderstand cost impact of new designParticipate in cost reduction eventsCreate engineering changes as required, help provide suitable dispositionEngage in brainstorming ideas for new productsDesign fixtures or fabrication support productsDemonstrate the ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem‑solve effectivelyAssist supply chain in identifying components, specifications, lead‑timeWork with suppliers to determine capability, efficiency, capacity, cost, availability to supply productsSupport the Sales team by providing models, drawings, and documents as requestedBuild a strong relationship with the fabrication team, interface regularly, resolve product issues quicklyFoster good relationships with all departmentsDemonstrate excellent customer service at all times, internal & externalRequirements/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringThree years mechanical design (minimum)Proficiency in solid modeling, SolidWorks preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
