Overview Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer II with our medical device client in Minneapolis, MN. This is an 11-month contract with a potential for extension.Pay: $28.00 - $37.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Responsibilities Design and Development: Plan, design, develop, and verify mechanical and electromechanical systems such as implantable neurostimulators, external neurostimulators, and patient therapy remotes, ensuring these products achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.Project Management: Manage projects from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring all deliverables meet product requirements, technical specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.Innovation and Improvement: Recommend and implement options or approaches to enhance safety, performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of systems, processes, and facilities.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.Problem Solving: Analyze complex engineering problems, providing in-depth analysis and innovative solutions to improve processes and products.Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate and refine designs.
