Job Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience designing thermal, HVAC, and ventilation systems for data centers, telecom, and industrial facilities. The role involves designing HVAC systems, mechanical layouts, ductwork, cable management, and fire suppression using AutoCAD/Revit, performing thermal calculations and basic CFD analysis, ensuring compliance with building codes, and supporting projects through design, testing, commissioning, and installation.
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Thermal/HVAC Design)
Location: Pelzer, SC
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC, thermal, and ventilation systems for modular data centers and industrial facilities.
- Prepare 2D/3D mechanical layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform thermal calculations and basic CFD analysis.
- Design ductwork, cable management systems, equipment layouts, and fire suppression layouts.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and site activities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical, thermal, or HVAC design.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Experience with thermal calculations, HVAC design, and mechanical layouts.
- Knowledge of building codes, construction drawings, and engineering standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data centers, telecom facilities, modular buildings, or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Basic CFD analysis experience.
- Project leadership or coordination experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus.
