Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Heavy Equipment
Location: Wyoming, MN (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing heavy equipment and structural components using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welded frames, chassis, heavy-gauge sheet metal, aluminum fabrication, FEA, GD&T, and DFM, supporting products from concept through production. Experience in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, military vehicles, or commercial trucks is highly preferred.
Required Skills - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience
- 3+ years of SolidWorks experience
- Design of welded structures, chassis, heavy-gauge sheet metal, and aluminum components
- SolidWorks Simulation (FEA)
- GD&T, DFM, engineering drawings, BOMs
- Product development from concept to production
- Prototype development and testing
- Strong collaboration with manufacturing and production teams
